I once heard Bob tell the story of how he how he came up with the name for the album "Bee Thousand". He told the story between songs at a show I attended and, as usual, he was really drunk, so I have to admit that this could all be bullshit. But even if it is bullshit, it's funny bullshit, so here goes.
Bob said he came up with the name for Bee Thousand by sticking out his tongue, pinching it between his thumb and forefinger and attempting to say "Pete Townshend". He then demonstrated, and he was absolutely right, it sounded like just “Bee Thousand”. |
