In the Autumn of 1999, caffeinated robots began as a non-profit organization, operating as a mail-order website that highlighted local, regional, and national artists of all types -- whether it be musicians, painters, writers and so forth. All proceeds from the sale of their collected works help benefit the Martha Millard Robinson Scholarship Foundation. This is a charity dedicated to helping underprivileged children learn and appreciate the Arts. In addition to supporting the foundation, we hope that our work excites and promotes creativity in others.
During the Spring of 2001 we started to think of other ways to raise awareness and funds for the organization. That's when Sprite Recordings came to life. With the help of our friends at recordhead, mr. whiggs records and Luna music, we have assembled a schedule of releases featuring artist who are special to us, and hopefully performers that you will enjoy as well. As with everything associated with the robots all proceeds generated from these releases are donated to the fund.
