It's been a while since I actually posted anything in the section, but that doesn't mean that nothing has been happening. I have spent a lot of time on our video section, adding anything GbV/Pollard that I can find.
Check it out here.
I realized about half way through the rebuild of the site earlier this year that I should have been including larger images of the album covers
in the discography because it isn't 2001 any more and people no longer have dial-up. News Flash, they also have larger monitors. This update will be an on-gong process over the next few months.

Welcome to Guided By Robert Pollard.com version 4.0!
Before I start, I would like to take a moment to thank Doug March for keeping this site going when we were unable to. We put a lot of work into this site and it would be a shame to see it go away, which is what would have happened if it were not for Doug. Thank You Doug!
We are pleased to announce that Propellerless and Kingshit are back at the helm of guidedbyrobertpollard.com again and we are going back to our basics. Our goal has always been to be an alternative to the official GbV/Bob sites and hopefully show you another side of our favorite band in the world. We've got some great ideas for the future and have already made some significant changes during this upgrade. First and foremost, we have reorganized the site to make it easier to find what you are looking for. The site is more visual, so you can quickly scan a section for what you're looking for. We are very excited about the future of the site and hope you will enjoy it as well.
We have redesigned the discography section, breaking it into four main sections (Guided By Voices, Robert Pollard Solo, Bob's Side Projects and the Fading Caption Series) which will make it easier to find out where things are.
New with this revision is "Propellerless' Random GbV Album Reviews" where Propellerless will give his thoughts on different Pollard albums and projects. Propellerless has contributed about 15 reviews to date and plans to add an new review a week until everything has been reviewed. Propellerless explains his goal with the Propellerless' Random GbV Album Reviews as follows: "I'm basically reviewing the albums I like the most first. I'm not going to review an album until I understand the album. Most reviewers listen once or maybe twice then give their opinion, that’s why GBV albums usually get so-so reviews. Not even the most hardcore fans like a GBV album on the first listen."
For the last year or so, I've been thinking that I would like to create an ftp site where I could start releasing some of the many live recording that have been produced by fans over the years. Instead, of the hassle of doing that, we have set up a YouTube channel where we will post music videos, non-copy written concerts, and other assorted odds and ends we have come across. This section is still a little primitive at the moment, but we plan to build on it in the next few weeks.
We have updated our memorabilia section and relabeled it as our "Audience Participation" section. Audience Participation means that we want your help to make it better. Do you have concert photos, an original Propeller or Acid Ranch album or something else that's interesting? Photograph it, Record it or Write about it and send it to us. We'd like to share it with the world in this section.
Finally, we've replaced our old Guest Book with a Facebook page and look forward to you becoming a member and starting discussions on everything Bob. We will also use this page to show off new things that we add to the site as time goes on. Our old friend, Crying Cook will be the moderator for this site. Look forward to seeing you there.
